Madhya Pradesh May 25 Weather Update: Stormy Start To Nautapa; Rain & Winds Sweep Across State

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The weather in Madhya Pradesh during this year's Nautapa (May 25 to June 2) is expected to be cloudy, stormy, and rainy.

The Meteorological Department has issued a weather alert for the next four days, up to May 28, across many districts.

Usually, Nautapa is known for intense heat, but this year the weather has been different. For the past 24 days, some part of the state has seen rain or strong winds every day. The same kind of weather is likely to continue in the early days of Nautapa as well.

Rain and thunderstorms are likely in these districts:
Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Barwani, Dhar, Khargone, Shajapur, Dewas, Khandwa, Harda, Burhanpur, Narmadapuram, Betul, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Anuppur, Umaria, Shahdol, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, and Singrauli.

May 26: Storms and rain likely in Indore, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Balaghat, Dindori, Anuppur, Shahdol, Maihar, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, and Singrauli. Wind speeds may reach 30–40 km/h.

May 27: Rain and storms may continue in Indore, Ujjain, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Barwani, Dhar, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Dewas, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Anuppur, Singrauli, Sidhi, Mauganj, Rewa, and Satna.

May 28: Rain is expected in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Pandhurna, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Sagar, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Sehore, Shajapur, Dewas, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Guna, Rajgarh, Agar-Malwa, Maihar, Mauganj, Katni, Jabalpur, Anuppur, Dindori, and Neemuch. Wind speeds may be around 30–40 km/h.

According to weather expert Arun Sharma, two cyclonic systems and a trough (a type of low-pressure area) are affecting the weather. Due to this, many areas will see rain and strong winds with speeds of 30 to 50 km/h.

Residents are advised to stay indoors during strong winds and avoid parking vehicles under trees. Farmers should also take precautions to protect their crops.
