Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): BJP MLA Archana Chitnis said that the state is now 10th largest economy in the country and its development rate is 9.37 per cent. The per capita income has grown from Rs 11,718 in 2002 to Rs 1,42,565. The loan taken by state government for development projects is within the fixed limit.
She was speaking on the vote of thanks on Governor’s address in assembly on Tuesday. She said that in one year tenure of the new government, the state has seen a lot of development works and in remaining four years, new story of development will be written.
Maternal Mortality Rate has declined to 173 from 469 and Child Mortality Rate has come down to 43 from 82. Earlier institutional delivery was 35pc and now it has reached till 98 per cent. Talking about farmer welfare steps taken by the state government, she said it is for the first time that soybean was purchased at the rate of Rs 4,892 per quintal.
The government also decided to buy wheat at Rs 2,600 per quintal. She said that the state government is working on GYAN mantra given by PM. Now, the state is having 30 medical colleges.
