Madhya Pradesh: Fraudsters Caught Using Fake Letterhead For Free Ride In Ranthambore National Park, Probe Initiated

A man who claimed to be a diamond trader used a fake letter of chief minister Mohan Yadav to get a free ride of Ranthambore Park

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Rajasthan police have booked a fraudster who was trying to take a free ride in Ranthambore National Park on the letter head of Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav, police said on Monday.

Sawai Madhopur Kotwali police station incharge Harlal told Free Press that they had received a complaint from forest department in this connection. The complaint stated that Sharya Mehta who claimed to be a diamond trader used a fake letter of chief minister Mohan Yadav to get a free ride of Ranthambore Park besides free stay for him and his five acquaintances.

Officials doubted the letter, verified it

The letter was sent on the social media account of a forest officer of Ranthambore on Sunday. After getting the letter, the officials doubted the letter and tried to find out its authenticity. They contacted chief minister’s office in Bhopal and came to know that letter was fake. The forest department filed the complaint at Kotwali police station.

At about 6 am on Monday at the ticket window of the Park, the name of the main accused Sharya Mehta from Ahmedabad was called. As soon as he came to the window, the police caught him.

Cops files a case

Mehta told police that one his workers had arranged for the letter as he claimed that he knew the chief minister Mohan Yadav. The worker had also told him that he would arrange a free ride in Ranthambore Park. The police have registered the case and started investigation.
