Guna (Madhya Pradesh): A day after a Jan Shikshak allegedly committed suicide, the administration suspended Block Resources Coordinator Shambhu Singh Solanki. A two member committee has also been constituted to conduct a probe into the matter.
Jan Shikshak Chandramaleshwar Shrivastava had allegedly consumed poisonous substance on Thursday. According to information, Shrivastava was recently transferred to Jan Shiksha Kendra MLB Higher Secondary School Guna, but jan shikshak Omkar Chhari was not handing over charge to him. Shrivatava on Thursday reached the office and consumed a poisonous substance. He was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was referred to a hospital in Bhopal, where he took last breath.
In his statement to police, Shrivastava had accused Block Resources Coordinator Shambhu Singh Solanki of mentally harassing him. Shrivastava also named other officials, who were allegedly harassing him.
Following his statement, the district administration swung into action and transferred the Block Resources Coordinator and shifted him to Bajranggarh. He was later suspended. Besides, the administration also suspended Jan Shikshak Omkar Chhari.
The administration ordered a probe against Chhari, as to why he was not handing over charge to Shrivastava. The administration also issued a termination notice to a clerk Ramswaroop Sharma posted at DPC office on contract basis.
Following demand of family members and also colleagues, the district administration constituted a two member committee. Sub-divisional magistrate, Guna and District Education Office have been named as committee’s member.
A group of Jan Shikshaks on Friday handed over a memorandum to police and demanded a strict action against the accused officials.
