Gwalior: Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has said the Lok sabha constituency of Congress president Rahul Gandhi is one of the most backward constituencies in the country. He said it was his chief minister who carried out various development work there. He further said the UP government was backing Rama bhaktas, who will gather in Ayodhya on November 25 to attend Dharma Sabha.

Addressing a press meet here on Thursday, Maurya said when Rahul could not develop his own Lok Sabha constituency for a long time, how could he lead the country on the path of development? He added that it was UP Chief Minister Adityanath, who is carrying out development work in Amethi.

“Condition of roads, electricity and other infrastructures was in pitiable condition in Amethi parliamentary seat but the BJP government is taking interest in public welfare work. It is one of the most backward constituencies in the country”, said Maurya. Maurya said: “the UP government is firmly behind Ram devotees and said he and the chief minister will not attend it.”

“The Chouhan government has done good work for the state. He transformed a BIMARU state into a developing one.” He expressed confidence that the BJP will retain power for the record fourth time in the state,” Maurya added. Attacking former Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, he said people of the MP didn’t know any Maharaj, they knew only Shivraj.
