Disposal rate increases from 34% to 58%

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Over 74,000 revenue cases have been resolved in the districts of Jabalpur division last month. The disposal rate of revenue cases has increased from 34% to 58%.

During this period, the disposal rate of land mutation (Namantaran) cases has increased from 40% to 57%, partition cases from 32% to 52%, and record corrections (about names, khasra numbers, etc.) cases from 31% to 51%.

The highest disposal rate has been achieved in demarcation of land (Seemankan) cases, where the disposal percentage has increased from 36% to 66%. Some 17,044 pending demarcation cases were resolved in the division.

Divisional commissioner is regularly reviewing, via video conferencing, the presiding officers of the 10 revenue courts with the lowest daily disposal rates, in a mission-mode effort to resolve pending cases in revenue courts under the Jabalpur division.

In this regard, a total of 119 revenue courts in the Jabalpur division have been reviewed within the last month.

Divisional commissioner Dhananjay Singh Bhadoria takes initiative for the disposal of pending cases, including the oldest pending case in each presiding officer's court, along with category-wise pending cases. 

Additionally, the revenue officer attends the video conference with the case diary of the concerned revenue court's oldest revenue case. Reasons for delay in resolving revenue cases are also reviewed during the meeting.

The result in the last month, 17,044 pending demarcation cases were resolved in the division. Thus, a total of 74,007 revenue cases are result. These reviews of revenue officers are being conducted daily. 

This initiative has accelerated the resolution of revenue cases. Online review also enables intensive monitoring of a larger number of revenue courts' work, the officials opined.
