Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 34-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Saturday. Wound marks on the woman's body has sparked serious allegations.
The woman identified as Ashi Kushwaha, a resident of Yadav Colony area of Lordganj police station area was found hanging from the noose in her home. Preliminary investigation suggests, this as an incident of suicide but the family alleges murder and demands a thorough investigation.
According to the woman's family, Ashi was married to Sumit Patel in January 2022. She was subjected to physical assaults by her husband and harassment by her in-laws for dowry demands. They allege that her husband and in-laws regularly beat her.
According to reports, the woman had multiple wounds and injury marks on her body which indicates foul play.
Upon receiving the information of the woman's death, the police rushed the spot and took down down the body from the noose and sent it for post-mortem.
