Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A sudden explosion rocked Legacy Plaza Apartment in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior in the early hours of Wednesday, leaving two people injured. The blast occurred at approximately 2 a.m. in a flat in the Legacy Plaza building located on the Gwalior-Bhind Road under the jurisdiction of the Gola Ka Mandir police station area. The blast caused damage to several apartments as windows and doors were shattered.
Emergency services rushed to the scene immediately after receiving reports of the incident. Fire tenders and police teams conducted swift rescue operations in and around the affected building. Two individuals—a man and a woman—present in the apartment where the explosion occurred sustained severe burn injuries. Both have been admitted to the burn unit at Jaya Arogya Hospital and are currently receiving treatment.

According to officers of Gwalior Municipal Corporation and Fire Officer preliminary investigations suggest that the explosion might have resulted from a chemical blast, although the exact cause is yet to be confirmed. “Several flats suffered significant damage, and we are working diligently to ascertain the precise nature of this explosion,” the officials stated.
