Four-day Dharma-Dhamma Convention begins
BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that policies that make the people happy and lead to their welfare should be the policy of the government. This policy should be framed keeping in mind the welfare of the mankind.
Chouhan was addressing the inaugural session of the three day 4th Dharm-Dhamma convention on “Dharm Aur Raj Vyavastha” organised by Sanchi Boudhha Evam Bharatiya Gyan Adhyayan Vishvavidhyalaya. Around 200 scholars from India and abroad are taking part in the convention.
Chouhan said that there is no better religion than the welfare of others and to offend others is a big sin. A lot of blood has been spilled in the world in the name of religion. There are many forms of religion. Truth, non violence, renunciation besides affection, peace and harmony is religion. Whatever pleases others is religion.
Happiness is momentary and satisfaction is permanent. The state government has formed Anand department to bring satisfaction in the lives of people.
Swami Vivekanand had said that truth is one and there are different ways to reach it. That the world is a one family was said in India 1000 years back. Arrangements have been made in the state to implement decisions related to public welfare after deliberations with the people.
Efforts will be made to implement the outcome of the deliberations between different scholars participating in the convention.
