Lok Ayukta arrests Principal accepting bribe of Rs 2,000

Dhar : The Lokayukta Police have caught a government employee red handed accepting bribe of Rs 2000. The person is currently acting principal of Government Higher Secondary School in District Dhar and had been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

According to Lokayukta Police, one Bharat Singh (22) son of Gamriya Singh Solanki and resident of village Magdi, Tada, District Dhar lodged a complaint that he was appointed guest teacher Grade – III at Government Higher Secondary School, Tada.

However, when he sought appointment letter from Dilip Bajpai, acting principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Tada, he demanded a bribe of Rs 2500.   Acting on the complaint, the Lokayukta Police laid the trap and caught Bajpai in the act of accepting the bribe of Rs 2000 on Tuesday. Bajpai has been booked under Sections 7, 13(1)(d) and 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
