According to regional manager of MP Tourism Department (Khajuraho) MS Rana, the show has been modernised. 3-d projection mapping and LED lights are used so that the temples look more beautiful, he said.

Now, the show will be run for 35 minutes, but it was previously run for 50 minutes, he said.   In English, the show runs from 6:30pm to 7.05pm, and in Hindi, from 7:25 pm to 8pm, he said, adding that the entry fee for the show has been increased from Rs 250 to Rs 300.

But for the children from five to 12 years, the cost of a ticket for the show is Rs 150, he said.

For the foreign tourists, the cost of tickets has been increased from Rs 750 to Rs 800, and for their children, it is Rs 400. (box) Bachchan’s voice is attraction of show The voice of superstar Amitabh Bachchan in the light and sound show is the centre of attraction. When the show was launched in 2000, Bachchan’s voice was very popular. So, his voice has been given priority. But Bachchan was not available to give voice for the new show. The officials mulled over using Ashutosh Rana’s voice, but Bachhan’s old voice is now being used for the new show.
