BHOPAL : Unidentified burglars conned the driver of the car of a general manager in a pharmaceutical company while he was waiting for his employer in the car, parked near the Board Office Square within the limits of MP Nagar police station. They deflected the attention of the driver by telling him that currency notes were lying on the ground and stole the laptop kept on the back seat of the car in broad daylight on Friday afternoon.

TI MP Nagar Rajkumar Saraf said that the complainant Anupam Tiwari, 54, son of Badri Prasad Tiwari, resident of Shakti Nagar, in his complaint to the police stated that he was the General Manager at Sun Pharma Company Dewas. On Friday afternoon around 1.30 pm he went to MP Nagar to purchase some homoeopathic medicines. When he reached Board Office Chouraha he instructed his car driver to park the car nearby and he went to buy medicines. His laptop was lying on the backseat of the car. The driver remained in the car. When he returned the driver informed him that a man stopped by and told him that Rs 10 currency note belonging to him was lying on the ground beneath the car. The driver got down to see the note and found a note lying on the ground. He picked it up and when he got back into the car he found that the laptop on the back seat was missing. He immediately realised that he was conned following which they reached MP Nagar police station and lodged a complaint. Police following the complaint registered a case under section 379 of the IPC and launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
