Katni : Mayor of Katni Municipal Corporation (KMC) Shashank Shrivastav organised a press conference at his office here on Wednesday and asked the media persons to give suggestions for overall development of the town and informed about various schemes of the Corporation. Mayor Shrivastav informed that on the basis of various public welfare schemes, a detail workplan has been prepared for the development of the town. He said that the workplan for road constructions and other development works will be made under UIDSSM, Mukhya Mantri Infrastructure Development Scheme, IHSDP Scheme, Rajeev Awas Yojna, Urban solid waste management Scheme, Katni city bus transport scheme and other development plans.
Mayor Shashank said that new roads worth Rs 45.67 crore will constructed under the UIDSSMT. Rs 29.18 crore have been approved for residential house construction and infrastructure development work. The newly constructed houses will be allotted to 271 beneficiaries on lottery basis. With the budget of Rs 22.38 crore the city bus service will be launched in the town. A new transport nagar will be developed with the amount of Rs 5 crore.
