Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): The food department suspended the license of Mother Dairy in Jabalpur after finding extremely unhygienic conditions during a surprise inspection on Thursday.
A video of the inspection has also surfaced and is circulating on social media, showing a shocking state of the facility. In the footage, flies can be seen all over the milk, cream, and other products, while the entire area appears filthy and poorly maintained.

According to information, the raid was conducted on the instructions of Collector Deepak Saxena at the dairy unit located near Bypass Tiraha, Karonda Nala under the Adhartal police station area.
During the inspection, officials discovered that food products were being prepared amid heavy filth.
In view of the poor sanitation, the department immediately suspended the dairy’s registration and sealed the entire premises.
The team also collected 11 samples of dairy products, including paneer and milk items, from various sources such as Mahaveer Milk Product, Jabalpur Dairy Firm, Sanchi Dairy, Rohit Dairy, and Rehan Dairy.
All samples have been sent to Bhopal for testing, and further action will be taken based on the lab reports.
This raid is part of an ongoing effort by the administration to ensure food safety and hygiene in the city.
Authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against any unit found violating food safety norms.
Video is misleading, have no relation to facility in question: Mother Dairy issues statement
This is in reference to a misleading video currently circulating on digital platforms and in media reports which states unhygienic conditions at a manufacturing facility in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, allegedly operated by Mother Dairy, and it's sealing thereof.
As clarified in the attached letter, the facility is not affiliated with Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd (Delhi), which owns the brand 'Mother Dairy' in any manner. We have no manufacturing presence in that region and the facility in question is not related to us.
