BHOPAL : A Hindi play ‘Sukhe Darakht’ which deals with loneliness of old age people was staged at Shaheed Bhawan on Saturday. Based on Marathi play, penned by Satish Kalamkar, the play was directed by Vivek Savrikar ‘Mridul,’ and translated into Hindi by Sachchidanand Joshi. The play also highlights how the youth have become self-centred and are getting away from roots and tradition of their joint family and society due to charm of metropolitan culture. They sent their parents at old age home to think their parents as dustbin on them. The play revolves around three protagonists of the play including Masterji, Chaudhariji and Deewanji who live in old age home. The play compelled people to rethink their ways. The play was presented by Rangmohini theatre group, Bhopal. Vivek Savrikar as Masterji, Santosh Pannikar as Chaudhariji and Rajive Shrivastava as Deewanji. The play was organised by MP Marathi Sahitya Sangh.
