BHOPAL : In a blow to the state government and Barkatullah University, the High Court, on Friday, stayed their orders for suspension of law professor NS Shrivastava and shifting of former vicechancellor Nisha Dubey.

Both had moved the court against the order. Dubey joined school of law in the university after the order.

Shrivastava, who was suspended by the university vice- chancellor second time, will join the department on Saturday.

The senior professor and former vice- chancellor of national law university, Raipur, was suspended first for alleged misbehaving with a female staff and second time for not co- operating in the probe against him on the woman’s complaint.

Dubey who was on lien in the university from higher education department before her job regularised by the executive council as a professor, was asked to join parent department after her term as VC expired.

On the compliance of state higher education department’s order, she was relieved from the university.

University officials said they would take legal advice on both the orders.
