Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal’s status has grown in the party. Now, his importance is also set to increase in the Vidhan Sabha. Khandelwal has become an MLA for the second time. So, he got a seat in the back row in the House.
He is sitting on chair number 68 in the fourth row in the House. Now that he has become the president of the party, his seating arrangement is being made in the front row.
The monsoon session of the House starts on July 28. Before the monsoon session, the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat has written to the BJP as well as the opposition Congress that they can inform the office about changing seating arrangements of any member.
After the secretariat’s letter, the BJP and the Congress have to write to the secretariat for changing the seating arrangement of any member of their respective parties a week before the beginning of the session.
According to sources, among the legislators, the BJP is getting ready to change the seating arrangement of Khandelwal. Khandelwal will get a seat either in the first row or in the second row.
The political parties recommend the seating arrangement of their members on the basis of the members’ seniority.
As Khandelwal has become the party president, the BJP Parliamentary Party is mulling over providing him a chair in the front row, although he is not a senior legislator.
An MLA has been elected BJP’s state president after 2008. Before Khandelwal, Narendra Singh Tomar was an MLA as well as state party president. He remained a legislator till 2008.
Since the party’s state president will sit in the House, he will get a lot of importance.
