Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Demands for direct flight from Bhopal to Prayagraj and Surat were raised in the meeting of the Advisory Committee of Raja Bhoj International Airport which was held on Friday.
MP Alok Sharma presided over the meeting. Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) president and committee member Manoj Meek said that the number of devotees going to the ongoing Kumbh in Prayagraj is very high.

It is difficult to get reservation in trains as well. Direct flight service should be started from Bhopal to Prayagraj. Sunil Jain said that Surat has a large diamond and cloth industry.
The number of people going from Bhopal to Surat is very high. New flight service should also be started from Bhopal to Surat. Krishna Mohan Soni suggested better infrastructure, Abdul Tahir suggested removing encroachment outside the airport and developing it through landscaping.
Airport Director Ramji Awasthi gave information about passenger facilities and development-related works at the airport. MP Alok Sharma asked airline companies to make proposals on the spot to begin flight services from Bhopal to Prayagraj and Surat. Sharma said, ‘I will go to Delhi and meet the Union Aviation Minister and work to get them fulfilled.’ Officials of Air India, Indigo and other airline companies were present in the meeting.
