Court Extends One Day Police Remand Of Dr Narendra Yadav

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Damoh Court has extended the police remand of Dr Narendra Yadav alias Dr N John Camm for one more day, on Thursday said officials. 'Impersonator' cardiac surgeon' Dr Yadav is facing serious allegations of performing fatal cardiac surgeries on multiple patients at ‘Mission Hospital in Damoh.

His bail application was also rejected during the proceedings. Police informed that the court of chief judicial magistrate Sneha Singh extended the remand after the police requested more time for interrogation. The counsel of Dr Yadav has planned to file a fresh bail application in the session court on Friday.

Yadav is under police custody as he is accused of performing cardiac surgeries on fifteen patients, seven of whom died under ‘suspicious circumstances’. On Wednesday, the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of Damoh district revoked Mission Hospital's license. Earlier also, the catheter lab and other facilities were sealed by a team of doctors and government officials.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Special police establishment (SPE) Lokayukta, Bhopal has caught a Block Resource Coordinator of Kesla in Narmadapuram district accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 for audit work, said officials here on Thursday.

The BRC had demanded Rs 15000 from a school teacher. SP DK Rathore informed that a primary school teacher at Somukheda, Devendra Patel had filed a complaint that the BRC Krishna Kumar Sharma was demanding Rs 15000 as bribe to give a clean chit in audit of midday meal and contingency amount of four schools that come under him.

The matter was reported to the police and after the verification of the complaint a trap team was formed led by Rajni Tiwari and other ranks.
