Ratlam : Chief Railway Safety Commissioner of Western Railway (CRS) PS Baghel will commence his inspection of newly constructed broad gauge line of Fatehabad–Laxmibai Nagar on Wednesday.

According to information, CRS will reach Ratlam by Awantika Express on Wednesday morning and will undertake the journey for Fatehabad from Ratlam by train on the broad gauge section of Ratlam-Fatehabad and from Fatehabad he will commence his inspection.

He will be accompanied by the senior railway officials of the Division. This is to mention that Baghel had given approval to the running of the trains on the Ratlam-Fatehabad broad gauge section after his inspection. Baghel is well aware with the Ratlam-Fatehabad section and also had appreciated the work carried after completion of inspection in the last week of Feb. Baghel is going to undertake the final inspection of Fatehabad-Laxmibai Nagar track which will pave way for the running of the direct trains to Indore from Ratlam on the newly laid section.

According to information, Baghel is likely to complete his inspection work on August 14 and after his approval report if found track OK for running the trains will give his report within a week’s time.

Meanwhile passengers have demanded that since the running of the direct trains from Ratlam to Indore is very near hence railway should plan to run adequate trains on the route; as there will be very heavy pressure of the passenger traffic. According to information, railways have already decided to extend the present DEMU services running between Ratlam-Fatehabad upto Indore and this service will take three rounds in a day. Passengers here also demanded that the number of coaches in the DEMU train should be increased on the very first day of the journey.

The Ratlam-Indore journey will take three hours period and will attract very large number of passengers.

As has been made clear by the railways the broad gauge track of Ratlam-Fatehabad-Laxmibai Nagar will be connected with the existing track of Dewas-Laxmibai Nagar-Indore at Laxmibai Nagar and this decision has made possible early running of the trains between Ratlam-Indore on the new track.
