BHOPAL : An audio of a conversation between Chhindwara Collector Mahesh Chaudhary and Additional Collector Alok Shrivastava went viral on Monday.
In the audio, Chaudhary is heard seeking action against the person who filed a complaint against him for hoisting national flag upside down on August 15, 2015. He is also heard reprimanding Shrivastava for withdrawing an application for action against the complainant from the Police Station. Chaudhary, in the audio, is heard telling Shrivastava that he was a misfit for such an important post.
Shrivastava posted the audio on the social media.
Chaudhary claims that Shrivastava did this as investigations into bribery charge against him had been initiated three days back. Chaudhary alleged that Shrivastava in the recent past threw a lavish party, which was sponsored by private parties. An order to probe the issue was issued and CEO, District Panchayat Surabhi Gupta was made the investigation officer.
Of late, subordinates recording conversations with their superiors and making them viral are growing by the day. In the recent past, Assistant Commissioner RK Shroti released the audio recording of his conversation with suspended IAS officer JN Malpani. Similarly, PWD Executive Engineer during his posting at Datia had released an audio of his conversation with Collector Katni Prakash Jangre.
