Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): BJP’s state president, Hemant Khandelwal, together with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, went to Delhi on Tuesday to meet senior leaders of the BJP.

This was his first official visit to Delhi after taking over as the party’s top job in the state.

Yadav and Khandelwal met Home Minister Amit Shah, the party’s national president JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Renewable Energy Minister Prahlad Joshi, and Information and Broadcasting Minister of State L. Murugan.

Yadav said the Central Government had principally agreed to set up a centre of Akashwani in Ujjain. Yadav requested L. Murugan to open a centre of Akashwani as soon as possible, keeping in mind Simhastha in 2028.

The Indore Akashwani centre will be used to broadcast news of Ujjain until the centre is ready, Yadav said. The foundation stone of the state-of-the-art rail coach manufacturing plant of BEML will soon be laid in the Raisen district, he said.

BEML is a Government of India undertaking in Bengaluru. A sum of 1,800 crore is being invested, he said, adding that he requested Defence Minister to lay the foundation of the project.

Yadav said he had requested Joshi for some work in the renewable energy sector. He said there would be some good news soon. The solar park to be set up in the future will generate 4,200 MW of power.

It will become an important achievement in the renewable energy sector, Yadav said.
