Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The results of Class 5 and 8 board-pattern examinations conducted by state school education department were announced on Friday. The state-wide results of Class 5 examination was 92.70%, which is 2% higher than last year. The result of Class 8 examination was 90.02%, which is 3% higher than last year.
In Class 5, the pass percentage of girls was 94.12% and of boys was 91.38% respectively. In Class 8, the pass percentage of girls and boys was 91.72% and 88.41% respectively. Shahdol division and Dindori district topped in Class 5 examination result, that is, in terms of pass percentage.
Second chance to those who failed
Indore division and Narsinghpur district topped in Class 8 examination result in terms of pass percentage. “After the announcement of the results, more than 70,000 people saw examination results on the website of Rajya Shiksha Kendra every minute.
Unsuccessful students would get a chance to appear in the exam again,” , the director of Rajya Shiksha Kendra Harjinder Singh said. About 23 lakh students from 1.12 lakh government and private schools and madrasas of the state appeared in these examinations. Of these, 95,000 schools are situated in rural areas and 16,000 are in urban areas.
