BHOPAL : It rained in the State capital for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. Several areas like Trilanga, Shahpura, Gulmohar, Bharat Nagar, Roshanpura Square, TT Nagar and 45 Bunglows witnessed rains in afternoon.
However, in spite of the rain, the day temperature increased by almost five degree Celsius. Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 30.5°C which was 7 °C below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 18.9°C, which was 3°C below normal. On Monday, day temperature was 25.8°C and night temperature was 18.2°C. So it showed that day temperature soared by almost five degree Celsius.
It rained in several other cities across the state in the last 24 hours. Gyaraspur recorded 5cm rainfall, while Malajhkhand, Mandla, Naugaon and Jhabua recorded 2cm rainfall each in the last 24 hours.
As per the meteorological department, isolated rain can be attributed to an upper air cycer lies over Gujarat region and neighborhood and another over comrian areas and neighborhood. There is trough between this cycer across Madhya Pradesh.
Rain and thundershowers will occur at a few places in the state in the next 24 hours. There are chances of hailstorm in isolated places in Shahdol, Tikamgarh and Anuppur districts.
