Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A man was killed and his nephew injured when hit by a speedy truck at a place under Garhi Malehra police station on Monday night.
According to police, the deceased and his nephew had left Chhatarpur to go to two different cities of Uttar Pradesh after loading vegetables in three-wheeler loading vehicles.
On the way, both of them - Pushpendra and his nephew Umesh Sahu, both residents of Mahoba in Uttar Pradesh, parked their vehicles on the roadside and started drinking water when a truck coming from behind hit their vehicles. Pushpendra was killed while Umesh was injured.
The injured nephew informed about the incident by calling Dial 100, after which the police brought both of them to the district hospital. The body of Pushpendra has been handed over to the relatives after post-mortem at the district hospital.
