Nagda : Catchment area witnessed heavy rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday due to which Chambal river is flowing ferociously. Furiously flowing Chambal River has submerged Maa Chamunda temple situated on its bank. Due to the surprise rise in the water level of Chambal, many stalls, located at the temple premises, also were washed away.

Rural areas are also witnessing continuous rainfall from past few days. Although people took a  sigh of relief due to rainfall and change in the climate, people living in the lower areas settlement are getting tensed due to this continuous rainfall. Because every year these lower areas settlement get filled up with the water due to heavy rainfall. Disaster committee has already been set up because of the possibility of heavy rainfall. Chambal River is almost touching the bridge built near Birlagram –Naayan dam due to the increase in the water level of the river. If the catchment area witnesses continuous heavy rainfall whole night then the Birlagram-Naayan road may get blocked. Due to which Naayan and many villages like Bhikampur, Bhilsuda and Tumni may get cut down from Nagda.
