Cabinet expansion after I-Day: CM

BHOPAL : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, in an information conversation with journalists at BJP Office here on Tuesday said that the cabinet expansion would take place after August 15. He said no criterion has been fixed for cabinet expansion so far.

Chauhan said political appointments in Boards and Corporations would be made in two to three phases. Taking a dig at the Congress, Chauhan said the Congress was trying to defame Madhya Pradesh.

On the other hand, BJP State President Nandkumar Singh Chauhan said political appointments would be made after elections of urban bodies on August 12. Nandkumar gave this statement after discussion with Chief Minister. He said announcement will be made after elections.

Chief Minister Chauhan in his conversation also informed about changes in portfolios of ministers. He said changes in portfolios would also be made.

He said some Ministers may be relieved of some departments. He said the Ministers should not take the reports suggesting that some of them may be dropped to heart.
