Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh BJP will hold its 2-day state executive committee meeting in Orchha on August 30 and 31, with around 350 to 400 leaders, including senior office-bearers, ministers, MPs and MLAs, expected to attend.
The meeting will be held at the Rajmahal Palace Hotel and Rajvilas Hotel. Senior leaders are scheduled to reach Orchha on August 29 to complete preparations.
A core group meeting, or toli baithak, will be held on August 25 ahead of the main event.
Senior BJP office-bearers reviewed the arrangements in Orchha on Saturday.
State vice-president Shailendra Barua, state office secretary Shyam Mahajan, state secretary Archana Singh and vice-president Surendra Sharma attended the preparatory meeting.
Barua and Gaurav Ranadive have been entrusted with overseeing the arrangements for the event and are personally monitoring the preparations.
A major exhibition showcasing welfare schemes and key achievements of the Central and state governments will be organised during the meeting.
Senior party leader Lokendra Parashar has been assigned responsibility for the exhibition. Cultural programmes will also be organised for delegates during the evening.
Around 400 rooms have been booked in various hotels, including Orchha Club and Resort and Orchha Palace, to accommodate visiting leaders.
Dedicated transport arrangements will be made to receive leaders at Orchha railway station and take them to their hotels.
The programme will begin with flag hoisting, followed by a visit to the exhibition, registration and entry into the main auditorium.
The state working committee comprises 106 regular members and 41 special invitees. With ex-officio members, including MPs and MLAs, the total attendance is expected to reach 350 to 400.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Deputy Chief Ministers, state ministers, Union ministers from Madhya Pradesh, national office-bearers and BJP MPs and MLAs are expected to participate in the meeting.
