Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): After the cashew scam in Shahdol, a biryani scam has surfaced from a CM Rise School in Jabalpur. Not just biryani, rasgulla, printer ink, plantation and construction work are also under the radar!

These alleged financial irregularities worth Rs 40 lakh have been exposed at Sandipani Government Higher Secondary School in Chargawan area of Jabalpur

According to the complaint, biryani and rasgullas worth thousands were distributed to students on paper, but in reality, students claimed they never received them.

Students confirmed they only received poha and jalebi on Republic Day and Independence Day, nothing else in four years.

Bills issued at sweeper's name!

Surprisingly, sweeper Hiralal Jharia’s name has appeared on many bills — from painting walls, leveling soil, putting up tiles, building washrooms to flower decorations. Even a bill of ₹8,000 was raised for a shoe stand. Investigation revealed lakhs of rupees were transferred to the accounts of Hiralal and two other peons.

A bill for printer ink from Jaipur was also shown, but its need remains unclear. Security guards and other employees like Satish, Ashish, and Leelabai Barman also had large amounts credited to their accounts.

Sweeper Hiralal said he was asked to help with whitewashing after duty hours to earn extra money.

Two probes, but no action!

Complainant Durgesh Chadhar alleged the principal has misused government funds amounting to ₹35–40 lakh. Two investigations were conducted, but no strict action has been taken yet.

Principal B.S. Patel has denied all allegations, saying the outsourced workers were given minor work during holidays.

Public Education Department’s Joint Director Arun Kumar Ingle said reports have been sought, and if irregularities are found again, strict action will be taken.

The case highlights serious misuse of government school funds while children continue to lack basic facilities.
