Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal athlete Pooja Ola emerged as the star performer at the World Athletics Continental Tour India meet in Bhubaneswar, powering her way to a gold medal in the women’s 1500m race with an impressive timing of 4 minutes and 17 seconds.

Representing the SAI Centre of Excellence (CRC), Bhopal, Pooja displayed remarkable endurance and race control in the international-level competition held on August 22.

She maintained a steady rhythm through the early stages before producing a strong finish to surge ahead of her rivals and claim the top spot.

The victory marks a major milestone in Pooja’s career and underlines her growing reputation as one of the promising names in Indian middle-distance running.

SAI CRC Bhopal Regional Director Abhishek Singh Chauhan congratulated Pooja and described the achievement as a proud moment for the centre and Indian athletics.
