Haphazard parking of the vehicles of the ticket aspirants for Lok Sabha elections are posing hassles for the commuters on the Link road No.1 and 2 in Bhopal among others. Aspirants from all over the state are converging at the nerve centres of political decision. Their vehicles parked on the either sides of the road are causing inconvenience to the commuters.

BJP office at Link Road no-2 and Congress office at Link Road no-1 along with the residence prominent leaders are witnessing such scenes, these days. These localities lack service lanes so the visitors park their vehicles on road side blocking the traffic. At BJP office, the entire scene looks like a public fair as heavy rush of ticket seekers keep sauntering near the BJP office. The situation is worst at Pradesh Congress office which does not have any premises for parking lot. All the vehicles are either parked at service lane or inside residential colony—Shivaji Nagar.

Siddhanta Hospital (Link Road no-1) director Dr Subhodh Varsney said, “It is true that haphazard parking of SUVs by politicians, pose problems for commuters. Even people face problems in coming to Hospital. We will raise the issue with Congress leaders so that parking can be improved. It will not be restricted but it must be made systematic.”

Advocate Dr Rajesh Sharma said, “ Earlier I prefer to use Link Road no-1 as PCC wore deserted look but now I do not prefer to use the Link Road no-1 as there is always heavy rush and vehicles remain parked blocking traffic. So just to avoid heavy rush of heavy traffic, I use other roads to go to court and secretariat.”
