Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Upset over his friend’s death, a 29-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself in his room on Monday night. No suicide note was found at the spot and further investigations were underway in this connection, police said.
According to reports, Sanjay Prajapati, a slum dweller was a labourer and lived with his wife and two children. Sub-Inspector (SI) Badriprasad said that primary questioning revealed that Sanjay returned from work and was watching sports.
Suddenly, Sanjay received a call from someone informing him that his friend Krishna was dead. Sanjay was depressed after receiving information of his friend’s death and started mourning. His wife consoled him but Sanjay locked himself in his room.
His wife raised an alarm when she found him hanging. Sanjay was rescued and taken to AIIMS where he was declared dead on arrival. Sanjay’s wife said that he was in an inebriated state when he took the extreme step.

A 24-year-old woman hanged herself to death under Sukhi Sewania police station limits on Monday night. Reasons behind the extreme step taken by the woman remain to be ascertained.
According to reports, Ravi Shivhare runs a photo studio in Karond. He had a love marriage with Arti a few years back. Ravi informed police that he returned from the studio on Monday night and found his wife hanging.
He brought down Arti and rushed her to the hospital where she was declared brought dead. No suicide note has been found from the spot, police said.
