In a tragic incident, a six-year-old girl and a man died after their scooter hit the road divider under Misrod police station early Tuesday morning.

Six-Year-Old, Man Killed In Road Accident

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident, a six-year-old girl and a man died after their scooter hit the road divider under Misrod police station early Tuesday morning.

Two other persons including the girl’s mother were injured in the mishap and have been admitted to hospital. According to reports, Prempura resident Chandrahas Srivastava (28), his brother Ajay (25), their neighbour Chitralekha (26) and her daughter Mahak 96) had gone to visit a temple in Raisen on Monday.

Chandrahas was riding the scooter on which Mahak was standing in front while Ajay and Chitralekha were riding pillion. They reached near Kali Temple in Misrod area when Chandrahas suddenly lost balance of the scooter and hit the road divider.

Chandrahas and Mahak were tossed in the air and hit an electric pole. They received serious head injuries and died on the spot. Misrod police reached the spot on receiving information and admitted the injured to AIIMS.

Elderly Woman Found Unconscious At Railway Ticket Counter

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Railways' efforts towards safety and assistance of passengers came to light at Bhopal Railway Station. At about 9.15 pm on Monday, Railway Protection Force (RPF) reported about 65-year-old woman lying unconscious in front of the ticket booking office at station’s new building.

Deputy station superintendent (commercial) Anand Krishna Mishra immediately contacted Dr Noor Hasan posted on duty in the emergency medical room located on platform number one. Both the staff immediately reached the spot. In the initial investigation, the woman was found suffering from high fever.

Senior divisional commercial manager Saurabh Kataria said, “Dr Noor Hasan checked the pulse of woman when deputy station superintendent (commercial) called the ambulance (108) immediately. The ambulance reached the station at around 9.35 pm. After this, the woman was sent to Hamidia Hospital where she is being treated further.”
