Bhopal: Three people including a 25-year-old married woman allegedly committed suicide in different parts of the city on Monday. On one of the incidents, a 25-year-old man, Naman Sharma, a resident of Ayodhya Nagar had allegedly consumed poison on Saturday afternoon after which he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment on Sunday.
According to police, Sharma who was a MBA used to live with his parents and younger sister in Ayodhya Nagar. In the initial investigations his father who used to work in a bank informed police that he was depressed due to unemployment. On Saturday when he was alone in his room, he consumed sulphas tablets and fell unconscious. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment on Monday. In another incident, 25-year-old married woman Saltanat, allegedly committed suicide on Sunday late night by hanging from the ceiling fan of her house in Shahjanabad locality here.
She was living with her husband and a 3-year-old daughter. On Sunday at around 2.30 am her husband woke up to and found her hanging from the ceiling fan. No suicide note was found from the house and the reasons for her suicide is unknown, said police. In the third incident, a 60-year-old man allegedly consumed poison on Sunday at Gandhi Nagar locality here. According to police the deceased, Kamal Singh Banjara, a resident of Sehore had consumed poison on Saturday after which his family admitted him in a hospital in Gandhi Nagar locality where he died during treatment on Sunday.
The police have registered cases all the three incidents under Section 174 of CrPC and investigations are on.
