Bhopal: Three charred to death as car, bikes catch fire after collision

Bhopal: Three persons were charred to death and three others critically injured after a car and two motorcycles turned into a fireball after head on collision near Shujalpur in Shajpur district on Wednesday afternoon. The condition of one of the injured was stated to be critical. The accident occurred at Kisoni Jod on ShujalpurAshta state highway under Shujalpur police station around 1:45 pm, police said. Among the injured, two are related to former Congress MLA from Shujalpur Kedar Singh Mandloi.

While Lukman Khan of Arniya Kala and Shekhar of Badalpur died on the spot, one Gyan Singh succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment at Shujalpur Hospital. The injured were identified as Rajendra, son of former MLA Kedarsingh Mandloi, and his son Lokendra along with one Umer Singh Katharia. Doctors attending on the trio described Lokendra’s condition as critical. Passers by who tried to douse the flame said that owing to impact of the collision both motorcycles and the car burst into flames. Police said that owing to the impact motorcycle riders were thrown away.There was a blast in fuel tanks of both motorcycles dousing the riders in petrol. Shujalpur subdivisional officer (police) Amit Sharma and police station incharge Dinesh Prajapati rushed to the spot with fire brigade and doused the fire.The injured were sent to hospital.
