Shri Rajput Karni Sena (SRKS) chief Lokendra Singh Kalvi said that political line for Madhya Pradesh will be decided in the state level sammelan to be held on March 31 in Bhopal.  On Karni Sena’s support to Congress candidate Digvijaya Singh, Kalvi clarified that Karni sena will support those who will take forward its agenda and agree to its terms and conditions of 10 per cent reservations for upper caste.

Singh is contesting from Bhopal. Kalvi further said that name of BJP candidate has not been finalised so far. So wait for few days, he added. In reply to volley of questions related to general elections, while interacting with media on Wednesday, Kalvi said, “Chiefs of both the major political parties –Rahul Gandhi of Congress and Amit Shah of BJP, had met me on the same day for support in elections. It shows the impact of Karni Sena in the country and it is our big achievement. My demand is that there must 10 per cent reservations for economically weaker sections.”

“We are non-political entity so we cannot assure the support to any particular party in the general elections. Right now, four office bearers of my Karni Sena are being given ticket from BJP and two from Congress, he added.” “The issues will be discussed in the proposed state level sammelan being held on March 31.

Venue will be finalised later. We have two options—Lal Parade Ground and Govindpura,” Kalvi added. Shri Rajput-Karni Sena appreciated Gujarat for becoming the first state to announce implementation of 10 per cent reservation to economically weaker sections (EWS) in the general category.
