Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A junior supply officer received a show-cause notice for serving poor quality and cold tea to the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during his transit visit to Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district.
The notice issued against the official reads that the junior supply officer, Rakesh Kanauha was incharge of providing tea and breakfast to CM at the Khajuraho airport lounge on Monday.
It came to notice that the tea served was of inferior quality and cold which was a matter of embarrassment for the district administration. It was a violation of the protocol in the arrangement of the VVIP, the notice stated.
It is further mentioned in the notice that the officer should clarify why strict action should not be taken against him. He was ordered to send his reply within three days otherwise one-sided action would be taken against him.
Later, the district administration revoked the notice on Tuesday. The district collector states that the show-cause notice issued has come to his notice and he clarified that no comment has been made by the government in this regard. Therefore, set aside the show cause notice issued.
