Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man was stabbed to death by his friend allegedly after he refused to give him money to buy liquor. The incident took place on late Thursday night under Gautam Nagar police station.

Police arrested one of the accused while the kin of the victim claimed that four persons were involved in the murder. The victim’s kin staged protest outside the police station in the afternoon on Friday demanding action against the other accused.

Gautam Nagar police station incharge Mahendra Singh Thakur said the victim identified as Shahrukh Khan (29) used to ply ‘baggi’ in marriages and was friends with Aman Gilani who worked at a confectionery shop. Both were liquor addicts. On Thursday night, Aman asked Shahrukh to give him money for liquor but he refused.

Following an altercation, Aman stabbed Shahrukh multiple times with a knife and fled.

Shahrukh was rushed to Hamidia Hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police reached the spot after receiving information and arrested Aman with the murder weapon following a raid, Thakur added.

Meanwhile, Shahrukh’s sister claimed that Aman, his brother and two other persons assaulted his brother and killed him. She claimed witnessing the incident and alleged that cops did not help her when she reached the police station at night.
