Bhopal: State capital which reeled under cold wave just couple of days ago had a sigh of relief from freezing cold on Tuesday. Pachmarhi recorded a minimum temperature of 1.5 degree Celsius. Besides, temperature soared a bit in some more places.
But many parts of state including Umaria, Khajuraho, Nowgaon and Mandla are still under severe spell of cold. People venture out at various destinations to enjoy and celebrate New Year due to relief from biting cold. Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 28.4 degree Celsius while it recorded a minimum temperature of 7 degree Celsius. Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 29.6°C and a minimum temperature of 9.8 degree Celsius. Just couple of days back it was four degree Celsius to five degree Celsius.
Cold wave continued to hit districts like Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Chhindwara, Mandla, Balaghat, Chhattarpur, Betul, Datia, Gwalior, Bhind, and Morena. According to meteorological department after a brief period of relief, cold will return in the state as there is chance of western disturbance which will set the wind pattern northerly and it will reduce the temperature in the state.
