Bhopal: School survey to kick off today

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Rajya Siksha Kendra is going to undertake a survey at schools in phase-wise manner from Monday which will help NCERT in framing guideline and policies for enhancing standards of education. This exercise is part of National Achievements Survey being carried out by National Council of Educational Research and Training in schools across the country.

As many as 173 schools in every district will be covered under the survey. Standard 3, 5 and 8 will be covered under the survey. Around 56000 students of class III, while 65,000 students of class V and 78,000 students of class VIII will be surveyed.

The main objective of the survey is to get the feedback before taking decision on major teaching policies by March 2018, framing guidelines on study materials by 2019 and finally planning on syllabus by 2021.

In Madhya Pradesh, Rajya Siksha Kendra is all set to undertake the survey. Field Investigators (FIs) have been roped into the task of holding surveys, under which tests of students and filling of questioners will be carried out in the schools. Block and district level officers have been deployed to execute the planning as per set parameters. Thirty students will be made to sit for a test and then student questionnaires will be filled. Similarly, questionnaires will also be filled by teachers and concerned principal.
