Bhopal: Rs 82 Crore Spent On Two-Day GIS 2025

People to be spent for Rs 100cr After the GIS, foundation for building a convention centre to accommodate 3,000 people was laid in Bhopal.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A sum of Rs 82.31 crore was spent on the two-day Global Investors Summit (GIS) held at Indira Gandhi Manav Sangrahalaya in the state capital on February 24 and 25.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav gave this information to a question raised by deputy leader of opposition Hemand Katare. In the past ten years, a sum of Rs 268 crore has been spent on various summits held to bring investments to the state.

Yadav said investment proposals worth Rs 30.77 lakh crore were received at the Regional Industries Conclaves, interactive sessions held in different cities and at GIS. According to sources, apart from the two-day GIS, the agencies like PWD, Urban Development Department, and various organisations spent crores of rupees on decoration of Bhopal and repairing work.

250ML water bottles each costing Rs 200 were provided at GIS

A huge amount was spent on GIS. On the first day of the summit, guests were provided with 250ML water bottles – each costing Rs 200. Besides, a huge amount was spent on building the dome and food.

Convention centre to house 3K

The centre will be set up at a cost of Rs 100 crore. The permanent centre will be built in the form of an extension of the Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre. After spending crores of rupees on the two-day GIS, the government plans to complete the project by the next year.
