Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Regional Science Centre (RSC), Bhopal, is going to celebrate the first images of NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope on July 12. Project coordinator of the centre Krishnendu Choudhury said that the students from the auditorium of the centre shall have an opportunity to be a part of NASA’s Global Live Coverage event scheduled from 8- 9PM. The event will be held in the auditorium of the Centre. The registration of the students for the event had already started from July 6, he said.
An interaction with Deputy Programme Scientist, JWST, NASA-HQ, USA Dr Hashima Hasan will be streamed live from 4:30pm to 5:15pm. It will be followed by a Q & A Session on James Webb Space Telescope, science quiz on JWST and launch of the first images of James Webb Space Telescope.
He further said James Webb Space Telescope [JWST] is the largest, most powerful, and one of its own-kind space telescopes ever built for exploring the Universe in infrared light. NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, a partnership with ESA (European Space Agency) and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), will release its first full-colour images and spectroscopic data on July 12. The James Webb Space Telescope will find the first galaxies that formed in the early universe and peer through dusty clouds to see stars forming planetary systems, Choudhury added.
