Bhopal: Reckless driving leaves man dead, three bikers injured

Speeding truck hit the farmer and 10 minutes later rammed the three bikers

Bhopal(Madhya Pradesh): A speedy truck heading towards Bhopal from Sironj mowed crashed into two bikers in different locations, leaving one dead and seriously injuring three others, said the Gunga police on Tuesday. Police have arrested the driver and seized the truck.

Police station in-charge Ramesh Rai told media that on Monday evening, a farmer Rajendra Nagar (55), a resident of village Hanoti, was heading to his agriculture field when he was hit by a seedy truck on the main road. The farmer died on the spot.

After hitting the farmer, the truck driver sped away from the spot and around 10 minutes later he crashed into three men on a bike. The bikers- Abhishek, Ravi and Mithun- , all residents of village Dillod, were seriously injured in the accident. They have been admitted to Hamidia hospital, their condition is stated to be stable.

The police said that the truck driver had dropped a consignment in Sironj and was speeding up to reach Bhopal in time.
