Bhopal: Congress national president Rahul Gandhi during his Bhopal visit on Friday reviewed the farm loan waiver scheme. In a meeting with Chief Minister Kamal Nath and other party leaders at state hanger, Rahul inquiring about the process of filing of applications, sought to know the time when the amount would be transferred in farmers’ bank accounts.
He asked Nath to ensure that the money in farmers’ account reach before model code of conduct for Lok Sabha polls comes into effect. Loan waiver amount should be credited into the bank accounts of maximum number of farmers before announcement of Lok Sabha polls, said Rahul.
Nath, the state party president, also apprised Rahul about farm loan waiver process and the works done after Congress coming to power in the state. Rahul appreciated state government Gaushala scheme. Nath also informed about the 100 units electricity for Rs 100 and Yuva Swabhimaan Yojana made for the unemployed.
He told party chief that the state government has fulfilled 26 points of Vachan Patra and work on the points which are not expensive to implement is also on. Rahul also had lunch with main Congress leaders at state hanger after which he left for public meeting at Jumboree Maidan.
