Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal Qazi Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadwi has appealed to Muslim youths to refrain from New Year celebrations. He advised them to instead read namaaz on New Year’s Eve.
Speaking to mediapersons on Tuesday, Bhopal Shahar Qazi Maulana Mushtaq Nadwi said, "The laws laid down by Islam do not approve of New Year celebrations. Hence, I appeal to all young boys and girls to abstain from late-night parties in the name of New Year celebrations. Instead, they should offer namaaz and pray for all."
Maulana Mushtaq Nadwi has been serving as the Nayab Qazi in the Bhopal Dar-ul-Qaza for over two decades now.
Safaris, hotels... all booked
Notably, most people, especially youths, indulge in booze parties and late-night celebrations on the night of December 31. Several pubs, restro-bars, and hotels are hosting grand New Year parties on Tuesday evening.
In fact, tourist destinations like Orchha, Chanderi, Gwalior, and Ujjain are witnessing heavy rush. Hotels here are completely sold out. Similarly, safari packages organised by Madhya Pradesh Tourism (MPT) at Sheoupur-based Kuno National Park, Madhav National Park, and National Chambal Sanctuary are fully booked.
The MPT has made preparations to host grand events at their properties located across the state, especially those famous among tourists.
At a time when the entire state and nation are gearing up to party their way to 2025, Bhopal city Qazi Sayeed Mushtak Ali Nadwi has urged youths to keep the celebrations a low-key affair and offer namaz.
