BHOPAL: Petrol pumps will be examined to ensure that petrol-diesel pump machines are intact and there is no irregularity. The investigation will be carried out by the Oil Company, Weights & Measures and Food Department.
An investigation process is being fixed to ensure that there is no technical irregularity in petrol pumps. The decision to fix the investigation process was taken at a meeting held at the Food Directorate on Wednesday chaired by Food and civil supplies and Citizen’s Consumer Protection Commissioner Vivek Porwal. Officers of Oil Company, Weights & Measures and Food Department took part in the meeting. The action has been taken to protect the rights of consumers taking into account the irregularity detected in a petrol pump machine in Uttar Pradesh recently.
