Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has made preparations to announce the result of class 10 by mid-July and of class 12 in the first week of August.
More than 10 lakh students had appeared for Class 10 examinations. The results will be declared online. The state education board has prepared the formula for evaluation of class 12 students. Concerned staff have started the evaluation of over 8 lakh students of class 12 as well.
According to class 12 formula, students will be evaluated on the basis of marks achieved in class 10. Even for the marks in class 10 formula, the ‘best of five’ will be applied in which highest marks obtained in five subjects only will be considered.
According to officials of the state education board, instructions have been given to all to prepare the results in the first week of August, as the board intends to announce the results then.
The CBSE and ICSE boards have also announced that they would declare the results in the first week of August. The MP board is likely to follow suit.
The MP Board had also issued a circular recently stating that the students who could not achieve a minimum 33% in exams will also be promoted to the next level.
Education board officials say that considering the pandemic people engaged in the evaluation process have been instructed to go soft while preparing results.
