Bhopal: Moong procurement from June 15 at Rs 7,196 per quintal, says chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

The chief minister said that the interests of the ‘Annadata’ were paramount for him.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the purchase of moong from farmers in the state would start on June 15. Farmers will be able to register themselves from June 8. He said that summer moong would be purchased at the support price with the help of the Centre.

The chief minister said that the interests of the ‘Annadata’ were paramount for him. Farmers should not be worried about the falling prices of moong. The target and support price for the purchase of moong has been fixed by the Centre for Madhya Pradesh. The support price of moong has been fixed at Rs 7,196 per quintal.

A fair price for the produce of the farmer will be given. He said that it had also been decided in the interests of farmers that the last date for procurement of gram had been extended to June 15.
