Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Bhopal Metro will now run every 15 minutes on Sundays and public holidays, with services also being extended by one hour to make travel easier for passengers.

According to the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL), the last Metro from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS will leave at 7:30 pm, while the last train from AIIMS to Subhash Nagar will depart at 8 pm.

This means passengers will be able to travel by Metro until around 8:30 pm.

The move is aimed at reducing waiting time and offering better evening connectivity on Sundays and public holidays.

Working Days Schedule

On all other working days, Metro services will continue as per the existing schedule. During peak hours (9 am to 10:30 am and 5:30 pm to 7 pm), trains will continue to run every 15 minutes. During non-peak hours (10:30 am to 5:30 pm), services will operate according to the regular timetable.

The Bhopal Metro has also recently started using an advanced signalling system, allowing regular operations on both tracks.

Passengers can book digital tickets through the MPMRCL mobile app and make cashless payments using UPI, QR codes, e-wallets, and the MP Metro app.

To encourage more people to use the Metro, MPMRCL is also offering promotional discounts. Passengers can get 5% off on return tickets and 10% off on group tickets.

The Metro corporation is also offering bonus amounts on e-wallet recharges through its mobile app.

Passengers will receive:

8% bonus on recharges of ₹200–₹499
