Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man fell prey to sextortion on a social media and was forced to transfer cash to persons who blackmailed him. The man approached police after the fraudsters demanded more money.

An FIR has been registered in the case. According to reports, resident of a village under Gunga police station, the complainant informed police that on Saturday, he received a message from a Facebook account in the name of one Nisha Jain.

The woman on the other side made a video call and started performing obscene acts. The woman lured the complainant into performing obscene acts as well and recorded his video. The complainant then received a message on his WhatsApp demanding to transfer cash Rs 2,000 in an account number.

However, the fraudsters called him again and demanded more cash or else his obscene video will be made viral on social media.

The man then approached Gunga police station and lodged a complaint. Police officials said the location of the mobile phone number used in the crime was traced to Rajasthan. Further investigations are underway in this connection, they added.
